Private atelier notice
Privacy Policy
Effective August 26, 2026
Eureka Mahjong Atelier (“Eureka Mahjong,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) creates bespoke American Mah Jongg sets by private commission. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit eurekmahjong.com, submit a commission inquiry, or communicate with us.
Information we collect
When you submit an inquiry, we collect information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, city or state, approximate investment range, and the story or design ideas you would like us to explore.
If a project moves forward, you may later choose to share additional information such as a telephone number, important dates, photographs, pet images, family details, visual references, delivery information, and design feedback.
Our hosting and security providers may also process limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, request timestamps, and diagnostic logs to deliver and protect the website.
How we use information
We use personal information to review and respond to inquiries, determine whether a commission may be a good fit, arrange consultations, prepare design directions and quotations, produce and deliver commissioned work, maintain project records, protect the website, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use inquiry information for automated decision-making, and we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How information is disclosed
Information may be processed by service providers that help us host the website, store inquiry records, deliver transactional email, secure our systems, or provide professional services. These providers receive information only as needed to perform services for us.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or security issues, or support a business reorganization. We do not disclose private commission stories publicly without additional permission.
Retention and security
Inquiry records are generally retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is needed for an active commission, accounting, dispute resolution, legal obligations, or a request from you. Completed project records may be kept longer where reasonably necessary to support the commissioned work.
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect personal information. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and privacy rights
You may ask us to provide access to, correct, or delete personal information associated with your inquiry. You may also withdraw from a commission conversation at any time. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and certain information may be retained where permitted or required by law.
Residents of California and other jurisdictions may have additional rights concerning access, correction, deletion, use, disclosure, and non-discrimination. Because we do not sell or share personal information for behavioral advertising, there is no sale or advertising-sharing opt-out required for our current practices.
Children and international visitors
This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you access the website from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The effective date at the top of the page identifies the latest version.
